Corncrake Garden Tick!!!!!

Well, I was sitting in my garden enjoying a rest after a morning clearing long grass from Fordon Chalk Banks with a group of stalwart volunteers, when I heard a familiar sound. Corncrake?!?

Can't be. I'm at home in Hornsea, not in the northern Isles or at Lower Derwent Valley.

Nope. Deffo Corncrake. Best make sure though so I contacted my friend Jon and he came over to have a listen and, sure enough - CORNCRAKE. What a fab garden tick for the ever increasing garden list here on the east coast.
